Audio Book Review
Rise of the Ranger hooked me from the very first chapter and simply did not let go. Philip C. Quaintrell weaves an epic storyline filled with ancient prophecies, fractured kingdoms, and the mysterious, deadly Asher—an assassin with a forgotten past and ties to a rising evil. The world of Illian feels rich, dangerous, and utterly alive. Steven Brand’s narration is exceptional: clear, commanding, and packed with emotion. He captures Asher’s vulnerability and grit perfectly, and his pacing keeps every moment tense and engaging. With flawless audio quality and a gripping narrative, this is fantasy at its most compelling. I’m obsessed. Audio Book Review Nov 2025
