Audio Book Review
This audiobook is an absolute delight from start to finish. The narrator immediately captures the light, quirky spirit of Maeve McGettigan’s story, drawing you effortlessly into her wonderfully chaotic life in Dublin.
The vocal performance is warm, clear and perfectly suited to the tone of the book. Each character has their own distinct voice, making the dialogue lively and believable without ever feeling overdone. Maeve’s awkward situations, Kobi’s hilariously blunt honesty, and the complicated dynamic between Shane and Josh all come across with genuine emotion and charm.
The pacing is spot-on, allowing the humour to land naturally while still giving the more heartfelt moments space to breathe. The narrator’s storytelling style keeps the energy flowing and makes the whole experience feel dynamic and engaging.
Production quality is excellent throughout, with clean, balanced audio and seamless editing.
Most importantly, it’s the kind of audiobook that keeps you listening longer than planned – funny, heartwarming and very hard to pause.
